Camps weeks are June 9-13, June 23-27, July 14-18 and July 28-August 2. Have your children join in the fun of learning about life in the 1850’s with hands on activities, tours of the museums and interaction with historical re-enactors.
The first four days are spent at the Alexander Majors House working in the blacksmith shop, making rope, learning about life as a Native American Plains Indian, sheep shearing, games and toys, frontier dancing, foods with historical significance, freighting along the Santa Fe Trail with the last day at the Historical John Wornall House learning about Civil War soldiering, the Under Ground Rail Road and CW medicine – yes, there’s a marshmallow skirmish too!
