The Annual DeLaSalle Pumpkin Patch draws hundreds of families for a morning of free, family fun on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event provides pumpkins in the urban core as well as ponies, bounce houses, and children’s music. A variety of food vendors will be on hand serving delicious food including Brooksider, STANDEES and Smallcakes. The Roasterie is offering a Pumpkin Patch Blend Coffee available year round with 10% of the proceeds benefiting DeLaSalle. 41 Action News reporter Demetria Obilor will serve as emcee for the event.
DeLaSalle is an innovative high school serving students from Kansas City’s urban core in need of an alternative to the traditional school. DeLaSalle provides a holistic environment that offers students an opportunity to improve learning and life skills. DeLaSalle started the 2013-2014 school year in an $8 million newly expanded and renovated facility. The school will hold a Ribbon Cutting/Open House community celebration on Oct. 16.
