Each year the Brookside Business Association selects a business or property owner or other contributor to the Brookside Shops to serve as the honorary Mr. and/or Mrs. Irish during the annual St. Patrick’s Warm Up Parade. This year’s honoree is Jerri Brandon, owner, Brookside Party Warehouse, 103 W 63rd Street. “I yell at all my friends when they drive by so I expect everyone to yell for me and say “hey”. The idea of it, it's an honor.” Come see Jerri “O’Brandon” and Mr. Irish, husband Blaine, lead the 42nd Annual parade Saturday, March 16th at 2pm! The 42nd Brookside St. Patrick’s Warm-up Parade is March 16, 2024 at 2pm! Save the Date for the 38th Brookside Art Annual to be held Friday, May 3rd through Sunday, May 5th, 2024. Artist applications for the show are now open! Apply by midnight December 15, 2023 for an early registration discount on jury fees. The final application deadline is midnight, January 16, 2024! The Brookside Art Annual is Kansas City’s first outdoor art show of the year, attracts a lot of buyers and arts enthusiasts, and is ranked amongst the best in the nation.
